Every cat must satisfy all three rules.
One cat per color
Each connected color region finishes with exactly one cat.
One per row and column
Each row and each column also finishes with exactly one cat.
Cats never touch
Cats cannot share an edge or a corner, so diagonal neighbors are blocked too.

Mouse
Left-click to cycle a cell, drag across blanks to mark X, and right-click to place a cat directly.
Keyboard
Move with the arrow keys. Press X to mark, C to place a cat, Space to cycle, and H for a hint.
Undo and recovery
Press U to undo or R to restart. An impossible cat is rejected and costs one heart, while X marks are always safe.
